We strongly recommend you clean your Equine equipment on a regular basis. By keeping your horse equipment clean, your equipment will last much longer and your horse will be much more comfortable. The worst thing one can do is store their summer or Winter horse blanket dirty. The manure will slowly eat the fabric up, and your expensive horse blanket will not only smell and be uncomfortable for your horse, but it will not last long. If you clean your horse blankets at least once a year, they will last much longer.
